Minneapolis Aquatennial 1940, Re-creation of Poster Art

Minneapolis Aquatennial Poster Re-creation. Don't know the whole story about the art or the artist, but I faithfully re-created the poster with digital tools, and added a bit distressing for aging effect.

Started in 1940 by a group of businessmen looking to promote their city nationally, the Minneapolis Aquatennial has been drawing crowds every July since for parades, pageantry, and crowd events, highlighting Minneapolis’s status as the “City of Lakes.”(From the Minnesota History Society page)
